Peterbilt trucks have long been known for their durability and reliability, but the manufacturer is also constantly innovating to improve efficiency and safety. In addition to Denton, Peterbilt has a facility in Madison, Tennessee. It primarily produces the 335/282 COE; however, it also assembles conventionals and low-cab COE vehicles.

When compared to other major manufacturers, Peterbilt is considered to be one of the most environmentally friendly companies in the industry. It uses an alternative fuel that is both clean and efficient for its powertrains, allowing the company to reduce its carbon footprint.

Another innovation that is unique to Peterbilt is its use of aluminum in many of its components. This material is lighter than steel, reducing the weight of the vehicle and making it more fuel-efficient.

Throughout its history, Peterbilt has also introduced new designs that have changed the way trucks are built. The company’s most recognizable design was the Model 379, which remained in production from 1987 to 2007.

This truck was known for its sleek look and aluminum hood. It has since been replaced with the more modern look of its successors.

The Peterbilt New Model 579 is the newest iteration of this classic truck. Its design is very much inspired by the original 379 but features some modern upgrades as well.

It has a wider body and is more aerodynamic than before. It also sports a sleek, low front air dam and a flexible lower-body skirting. Its easy-fold-out, no-tool chassis fairing is also a popular option.

When it comes to efficiency, the New Model 579 is a real game changer. Its engine, transmission and braking system have all been streamlined to help reduce fuel consumption. The engine’s High Pressure Common Rail Fuel Injection is a new technology that delivers improved fuel economy while providing the same amount of power as the previous model.
